Piston Seals
FiPur®- Piston Seals in hydraulics
Unlike the rod seals the lubricant film thickness and thus a minor (inner) leakage plays only a subordinate role in the piston seals. Piston seals from high-grade polyurethanes are available for single and double acting pistons.
Based on FiPur® 100 we are able to provide one and two- part seal forms. Currently, we can use this to cover pressures up to 150 bars. However, we are working on the development of a higher module material to cover the sealing systems for suitability up to 300 bars.
FiPur®- Piston Seals in pneumatics
Pneumatic seals must seal off, in contrast to hydraulic seals, a medium with the lowest viscosity, namely compressed air (up to 12 bars). The lubricant supply, based on an initial lubrication, is low. In order to keep the abrasion still low, the material should be soft and the sealing lips should have a very low specific compression.
Upon applying piston seals, we can tailor products using FiPur® 180 (82 Shore A) with low abrasion, minimal leakage, and extremely long service lives.
